By accessing this website, booking a trip, or participating in any guided activity with Ryan Stefek Outfitters (RSO Outfitting) (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to the following Terms of Service.

Services Offered

Ryan Stefek Outfitters provides guided outdoor recreation services, including but not limited to:

Guided Hunting Services

  • Big game hunting

  • Varmint hunting

  • Bird hunting

Guided Fly Fishing Services

Fishing locations may include, but are not limited to:

  • Bighorn River (Montana & Wyoming)

  • Stillwater River

  • Yellowstone River

  • Boulder River

  • Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone

  • Lower Shoshone River

  • Select Idaho steelhead waters

All services are subject to season dates, water conditions, weather, licensing requirements, and guide availability.

Booking & Payments

  • A 50% deposit is required to reserve trip dates unless otherwise stated in writing.

  • Deposits must be received within 15 days of invoicing.

  • For hunts requiring a license draw (including elk and antelope), deposits are due upon successful draw.

  • Remaining balances are due prior to the start of the trip unless otherwise agreed.

Non-Refundable Deposits

Deposits are non-refundable unless:

  • A replacement client is booked for the same trip dates prior to applicable deadlines, or

  • Otherwise approved in writing by Ryan Stefek Outfitters.

Cancellations after license application deadlines or within close proximity to scheduled fishing trips are handled case-by-case.

Pricing & Inclusions

Unless otherwise stated, trip pricing may include:

  • Professional guiding services

  • Use of fishing boats or equipment (when applicable)

  • Transportation during the guided activity

  • Lodging and meals (for select hunting trips)

Pricing Does Not Include

  • Hunting or fishing licenses and permits

  • Conservation stamps or access fees

  • Meat processing or fish shipping

  • Lodging before or after trips

  • Gratuities

  • Taxidermy or fish mounting

  • Alcoholic beverages

  • Personal gear unless specified

Gratuities

Gratuities are not included in trip pricing. Guides work extremely hard to provide a safe, productive, and enjoyable experience.

Industry standard gratuity: 15–30% of the trip price.

Licensing & Legal Compliance

Clients are solely responsible for:

  • Obtaining valid hunting or fishing licenses for the appropriate state

  • Complying with all Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho regulations

  • Following all firearm, archery, boating, and fishing laws

Failure to comply with state or federal regulations may result in immediate trip termination without refund.

Assumption of Risk

Hunting and fly fishing are inherently dangerous outdoor activities. Risks include, but are not limited to:

  • Slippery rocks and uneven terrain

  • Swift or cold water

  • Wildlife encounters

  • Weather extremes

  • Use of firearms, archery equipment, hooks, and sharp tools

  • Boating-related risks

By booking a trip, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ryan Stefek Outfitters, its owners, guides, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

  • Injury or death

  • Property loss or damage

  • Accidents, acts of nature, or equipment failure

Participants agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Ryan Stefek Outfitters from all claims arising from participation in guided activities.

Client Conduct

RSO Outfitting reserves the right to terminate any trip without refund if a client:

  • Acts unsafely or recklessly

  • Uses drugs or alcohol irresponsibly

  • Violates laws or regulations

  • Disrespects guides, staff, landowners, or wildlife

Weather, Water & Safety Conditions

Trips may be modified, delayed, or canceled due to:

  • Weather conditions

  • River flows or unsafe water levels

  • Wildfires or natural disasters

  • Regulatory closures

Safety decisions are made at the sole discretion of Ryan Stefek Outfitters.

Website Use & Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, images, and branding—is the property of Ryan Stefek Outfitters unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute content without written permission.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, regardless of where services are performed.

Changes to Terms

Ryan Stefek Outfitters reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website or booking of services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
